AT A GLANCE: New Generation Software introduces Qport Office, a reporting tool designed for Microsoft* Office users who need easy, secure access to their company's DB2* database on the IBM* System i* platform.

DETAILS: Qport Office enhances users' productivity by eliminating the manual steps usually associated with moving DB2 data to Office applications. Users can immediately direct their final output into Excel, Word, Access, the Windows* display, or their PC or network printer. Excel users can preserve existing Excel formats by specifying spreadsheets or named ranges to receive the data. Formatting, formulas, charts, etc. will update automatically each time the sheet or range is refreshed with new data. Qport Office is the entry-level reporting tool for NGS' end-to-end business-intelligence software. NGS is offering new customers a no-cost, two-concurrent user license until Aug. 31, 2007.
