AURA Equipments' New Storage Engine Integrates DB2/400 Into MySQL

AURA Equipments has released iStorage For MySQL, a new storage engine that integrates DB2/400 database into MySQL. DB2/400 is now an engine powering MySQL.

The vast majority of commercial PHP applications were developed to use MySQL databases. With iStorage For MySQL, PHP applications installed on System i platforms share their data with native OS/400 programs, without any changes in the source code.

iStorage For MySQL is can move original MySQL tables to DB2/400 database and vice versa. It centralizes the data into one storage space and gives access from all interfaces. DB2/400 is still the main database management system for System i, and MySQL remains the major database access API for PHP applications.
