Robot/SCHEDULE Enterprise
Help/Systems; Eden Prairie, Minn.
AT A GLANCE: Robot/SCHEDULE Enterprise extends the power of Robot/SCHEDULE, Help/System’s job scheduling and batch job management software, from IBM i to UNIX* and Linux* servers.
DETAILS: Robot/SCHEDULE Enterprise lets users automate job scheduling on IBM i, UNIX and Linux servers. Users access job completion history, schedule activity monitor, job monitors, auditing and more activities from their PCs using the Robot/SCHEDULE Explorer Java* interface. Users can monitor UNIX and Linux servers for events such as the creation, deletion or modification of a file or directory; whether a file is growing; when processes (daemons) start or end; or even create their own manual events. These events then can be used for event-driven job scheduling in Robot/SCHEDULE. For example, a file arriving on a UNIX server can launch a process on a Linux server, which can then start a job on a system running IBM i. Robot/SCHEDULE Enterprise will coordinate the process of monitor each agent’s job return codes, capture log files, control the authority and establish working paths.
OS SUPPORT: IBM i 6.1 and 5.4, i5/OS* V5R3; AIX 64- or 32-bit processor running 5.3 or above; Linux; Java 1.5 or above.
