MSP TechMedia - publishers of IBM Systems Magazine

MSP TechMedia is a division of MSP Custom Communications, a full-service publisher that produces magazines and media at any point on the publishing continuum. From turnkey publications to select services in key areas, MSP delivers.

MSP TechMedia began publishing IBM's iSeries Magazine in 2000. In 2001, it was renamed IBM eServer Magazine, iSeries edition, and was renamed IBM Systems Magazine, i5 Business Systems edition in 2006 and further refined to IBM Systems Magazine, Business Systems edition in 2008. Due to the magazine's overwhelming popularity, additional IBM magazines were developed specific to IBM's System p and System z computing platforms.

IBM Systems Magazine, Business Systems edition (formerly IBM Systems Magazine, i5 Business Systems edition) is a free monthly publication for customers and users devoted to computing technologies on the IBM System i and iSeries platform. Articles range from high-level thought-leadership pieces and case studies to more in-depth how-to walk throughs, technology tips and techniques and product news. The magazine reaches more than 41,000 monthly subscribers, a total 45,000 monthly BPA audited circulation.

IBM Systems Magazine, Power Systems edition (formerly IBM Systems Magazine, Open Systems edition and eServer Magazine, IBM edition for UNIX) is a bimonthly publication that contains information specific to IBM System p, pSeries and AIX users. From industry trends to nuts and bolts how-to articles, the magazine offers the content IBM UNIX users need to maximize their technology investments. The magazine's circulation is 25,000 per edition.

IBM Systems Magazine, Mainframe edition (formerly eServer Magazine, Mainframe edition) brings bimonthly news and information to 25,000 IBM mainframe (System z and zSeries) customers. From z/OS to OS/390 to the many other mainframe operating systems, the magazine contains a mix of high-level technology overviews, how-to articles and case studies designed to help the mainframe customer get the most from their IBM systems.

Editorial Department:
IBM Systems Magazine editorial staff rely on top experts, both within and outside of IBM, to provide this valuable information in both strategic and tactical formats. Editorial lineups are determined three months prior to publication date by the managing editors. In addition, each publication has a dedicated team of technical editors and advisors to ensure that the magazines cover the latest new announcements on IBM and third-party hardware, software and middleware, in-depth case studies, and technical articles that enhance readers' skill sets. Like a traditional publishing company, editorial and sales initiatives are managed through separate departments. For more information, call 507.286.6853.

Sales Department:
The magazines have a full-time sales staff dedicated to selling print and electronic advertising for all of the IBM Systems Magazines. Advertising opportunities and packages consist of print, online and eNewsletter sponsorships as well as auxiliary print products – cover tips, inserts, ride-alongs, bellybands, dot whacks, bonus copies, etc. For more information, call 612.336.9241.
